The OPEN National Field Day event is Friday, May 8th! Field Day is an important tradition at our school. Dear Parents, April 13, 2020 We hope this note finds each of you well! Due to the closure of school for the remainder of the school year, we want to make things as simple as possible for you and your children. Our Kindergarten team decided on a more streamlined outline for everyone! Beginning Monday, April 13th, all Cobb County students will have digital learning opportunities Monday – Thursday. Each Friday will be an opportunity for students to review their progress from the previous week and to catch-up on assignments as needed. No new work or assignments will be presented to students on Fridays. On each day, we will be emailing the day’s lessons for you on one document. This daily document will be sent to you by 9:00 a.m. and categorized according to subject. The areas of focus will include:
Sight Words for the week
Reading activity
Math activity
“Choice Board” of 3 activities per day
Additional resources and websites will remain on our Kindergarten Blog if you feel the need to use them. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Our ‘office hours’ will remain the same, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Our goal is to help your child succeed in these unusual times.
Sincerely, The Kindergarten Team
Dear Kindergarten Parents and Students, March 30, 2020
Unfortunately, I am writing today to inform you that each of our Field Trips have been canceled. We received word that all Cobb County field trips are to be canceled for the remainder of the year. We understand this is very disappointing, but safety must come first at this time. The school will be in contact with you at a later date regarding financial aspects of the trips. Please be patient as we develop a process to handle all of this.
Sincerely, The Kindergarten Team
